PUBLIC HEARING ON SETTING THE 2026 PROPERTY TAX LEVY

The Pilot Grove City Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, September 8, 2025 at 5:30 pm at City Hall, 213 College Street, to give tax payers an opportunity to give their input on the proposed property tax rate levy for 2026 as proposed by the Missouri State Auditor.

The 2026 assessed valuation for both real estate and personal property of the City totals $6,910,765, an increase of $94,299 from the 2025 assessed valuation of $6,816,466. The Missouri State Auditor has proposed the tax levy be set at 0.7663 cents per $100 valuation, the same as last year’s. The Council will consider the proposed 2026 tax levy during the regular scheduled council meeting on Tuesday, September 08, 2025, at 6:00 pm at City Hall.
