Compost Site Reminder: Please Dispose of Waste Properly

The City reminds residents that the compost site is intended for yard waste and other approved compostable materials only. Dumping household trash, furniture, appliances, plastic, clothing, toys, construction materials, or other non-compostable items at the site is prohibited.

When trash or other unauthorized materials are left at the compost site, it creates additional work and expense for the City and can interfere with the proper processing of yard waste. It also creates an unsightly area and may result in increased disposal costs for the community.

Residents are asked to help keep the compost site clean and available for its intended purpose. Please take household garbage and other non-approved items to an appropriate disposal facility rather than leaving them at the compost site.

Your cooperation helps keep our community clean, safe, and well maintained. Thank you for doing your part and for helping us maintain the compost site for everyone’s use.

The compost site is to remained locked. Keys are available at City Hall for $5.00.
