Sewer Rate Hearing

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the PILOT GROVE CITY COUNCIL will conduct a public hearing to consider proposed changes to the sanitary sewer rates.

The purpose of this hearing is to consider proposed changes to the sewer rate charges, effective if/when the SRF MoDNR Loan is closed and the contract executed. To be considered for a low interest State Revolving Fund loan from MoDNR the City must charge a Base Service Fee to provide for 110% of debt service coverage. Currently the City does not charge a base service fee for sewer, only a volume usage fee of $11.75 per 1,000 gallons of water used. The proposed ordinance would charge a Base Service Fee of $27.65 which would include the first 1000 gallons of water used. After the first 1,000 gallons volume charges would reduce from $11.75/1000 gallons to $8.45/1000 gallons.
